Facebook Mountain Lion integration won’t be happening until this fall due to late release of iOS 6. It seems like Mountain Lion and iOS 6 will work together fairly nicely, but since iOS 6 is not coming until this fall, we won’t be seeing any Facebook Mountain Lion integration before that.
During Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) on Monday, Apple billed Facebook Mountain Lion integration into its ecosystem as an important aspect of its keynote presentation, but that would not be available on iPhone until iOS 6 releases.
There is also a banner on Apple’s Mountain Lion OS X website showing that Facebook Mountain Lion integration won’t happen until this fall.
It’s also been speculated that the main reason behind Facebook Mountain Lion integration delay could be the agreement Facebook and Apple signed, which might require it to takeoff on all Apple’s platforms on fall at the same time.
